How can one learn a language with little effort…?
I have some advice for you. And if you are a person who is going to live in a foreign country, I think it’s an essential one. It’s one strategy among others, but
      This is for you if:
-You will live in a foreign country for ~6+ months
-Your aim is naturally acquire language from your surroundings; not to break your back studying

The suggestion is: learn by Osmosis.
This nerdy expression of ‘learning by osmosis’ is an inference from the biological definition. Many cells and small lifeforms are surrounded by a solutions. Simply by being in that solution, things will pass in and out of the cell through its ‘skin’ (the semipermeable membrane). “Live in a foreign country, and since you are bathed in its native language on a 24/7 basis, you won’t have to study. It’ll just seep into you from the surroundings.”
